Nature just is. By its nature, natural. (David rolls his eyes!)
At our land by the Pembina River, there is a small area that is cultivated, touched by human hands. Humans also touch the river, in that fertilizers, pesticides, and manure are an invisible commodity. But where we enter the river it feels natural. And the beauty of it is, just is! Alive! Appreciating nature above all things, for me, is that moment of entering the river. It is a pause at being alive. There is no need to be an artist, to think, to question or to be. This is a moment for being nothing, just ‘becoming’.
